This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar local storage Trael uses. Apart from one optional item for creator referral links, we only use what is strictly necessary to run the service; we set no analytics or marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the footer or Settings.
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Authentication - Supabase stores your session/access token (in browser local storage) to keep you signed in. Without it you cannot use your account.
- Cookie-consent choice - we store your "Accept all" / "Essential only" choice so we don't ask again.
- App preferences - small UI choices (e.g. your selected trainer persona) stored locally on your device.
- Creator invitation (trael_creator_invite) - set only if you open a personal invitation link to our creator programme. It remembers your invitation (in browser local storage) while you sign up or sign in, so we can complete it afterwards. It is removed as soon as the invitation is completed, and is of no use once the invitation link expires or is revoked. No analytics, no advertising, no third party.
Optional (functionality, consent required)
- Referral code (trael_ref) - set only if you arrive through a creator's referral link and have chosen "Accept all". It remembers the creator's referral code (a first-party cookie and a local storage entry) for a maximum of 30 days so the code can be applied when you sign up; after 30 days it is ignored and expires. Declining only means you type the code yourself at sign-up. No analytics, no advertising, no third party.
Non-essential (analytics / marketing)
None today. Trael currently sets no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If we add any in future, they will be off by default and set only after you choose "Accept all" - you will always be able to decline with "Essential only".
Managing your choice
Use Cookie settings (footer or Settings) to review or change your choice. You can also clear site data in your browser. Clearing the strictly necessary items will sign you out and reset your preferences; clearing the optional referral code only means you would type a creator code yourself if you sign up.
